Our Corporate Structure
Société Internationale Métallique (Canada) Ltée, incorporated in November 2014, is the primary originator, developer and promoter of the initiative to produce Hot Briquetted Iron (HBI) for sale to North American and global steelmakers, at a strategically advantageous location in Bécancour, Quebec.
Our sponsoring ground-floor investors are private, Europe-based entrepreneurs. These backers possess a strong track record in the development of similar large-scale projects in the natural resources sector.
The financial structure of the Bécancour project will include substantial equity participation by a combination of strategic and institutional investors, including the targeted involvement of leading Quebec-based entities.
We are assembling a team of local and international experts to support project development and operations. This team travels regularly to Quebec to pursue the development of the project and to meet with stakeholders.
